libreoffice impress: missing background tab

Hya,

To whom it may concern.

System
Libreoffice impress, (probably any distribution)

Situation
Missing background tab, under format->page. Therefore, unable to set background.

Solution
Need to be "normal" view in the main pane. (No notes, handout tab)

It is a kind of silly situation, but is is not documented under help.libreoffice.org. It took several hours for me to find out.

Closing remark
If anybody else runs into same situation, try above. If it does not work and find some other solution, please post here.

Have a nice penguin!

Using Libreoffice 4.0.4.2. I open a new presentation. There are a series of icons running along the bottom of the presentation. The next to last icon there is the Gallery icon. I click on it and the first item on that menu is Background. Does that help?

Question Background tab in LibreOffice5 writer

I use LibreOffice 5 writer. The background tab in formating the page is missing. A Transparency tab does exist though. If anybody can help it would be great.
