LibreOffice - how to customize the AveragA function?

I am interested in how to customize this function in particular, since it doesn't return an error when you have gaps in your data file.

AVERAGEA discards gaps in the data when calculating the average. How would I replicate this when writing my own formula?

Thanks!

MF

What, exactly, are you trying to do? You want to customize a built-in function? You want to write a custom function that produces the same results as AVERAGEA with the same input? Something else? It's not at all clear from your post.

To my knowledge, there is no way to customize a built-in function other than hacking the source and re-building. Not sure why you'd want to customize a built-in function rather than writing a macro, but hey, who knows.
