Since I am having trouble getting Postgres working again, I am looking for something quick and easy to use selected entries and fields from an existing pgsql backup CSV file. I can't find the LO database on my Kubuntu 11.10 system, nor do I see it on Muon. Any other Linux suggestions?

Are you looking for an alternative DB to replace PostgreSQL and to load from the PostgreSQL CSV backup? Or do you just want to view the data in the PostgreSQL CSV backup?

If the first, it would probably (?) be easier to get PostgreSQL working again than to extract data from the PostgreSQL CSV backup into a format suitable for loading into another DB engine.
