Library Installation

For kbfx and other packages I need libexpat.so.1. I've installed it and know where it is, so how can I make it so kbfx can find the files libexpat.so.1 and libexpat.so?

installation outputs:
<Tim/.kpackage/kbfx-0.4.9.1-1.guru.suse100.i686.rpm';echo RESULT=$?
warning: ///home/Tim/.kpackage/kbfx-0.4.9.1-1.guru.suse100.i686.rpm: Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 58857177
error: Failed dependencies:
libexpat.so.0 is needed by kbfx-0.4.9.1-1.guru.suse100.i686
RESULT=1
so how can I make libexpat.so.1 show up as libexpat.so.0?

Nevermind, I installed a previous rpm release obtained through its sourceforge file list and it worked fine
