Library dependency

I just upgraded gcc from 4.1 to 4.2, but the linker doesn't look into /usr/local/lib64 for libstdc++.a. How may I change that so that the system will also look in /usr/local/lib64?

Thanks!

You can try to update the linker cache using
Code:
/sbin/ldconfig /usr/local/lib64
See man ldconfig for details.

Add /usr/local/lib64 to /etc/ld.so.conf. Then either reboot or run the ldconfig command as root. See:

man ldconfig
