libdvdcss2, unmet dependencies

I was following instructions from wiki.eeeuser.com/howto:watchalldvds

And I keep getting stuck at installing libdvdcss2. I get this at the end:
Quote:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libdvdcss2: Depends: libc6 (>= 2.6-1) but 2.3.6.ds1-13 is to be installed
E: Broken packages
I've googled all day. The solutions are so varied and the few I have tried don't seem to work, not to mention old. I'm exhausted.

I'm starting to think it's a case by case situation and there is no general fix to be found on the internet.

Anyone got any ideas?

from "2.3.6.ds1-13" i take it you are running " damn small Linux " ???
why not just build it from the source code .

If you're running any *ubuntu distro, just go to http://medibuntu.org/ and follow steps on "Repository Howto" menu for your system version.

Yes, I'm Linux n00b working on an Eee PC preloaded with Xandros.

How do I get a dowload of libdvdcss2 source code? I tried googling and didnt find one.

I think i tried the medibunto repo I found sometime back. It still gives me the unmet dependency.

You might want to check this post, and the forum in general. I looked through the xandros repo for another LQ thread, and it's kind of small. Then again, your machine is small, and you may have a large risk of filling the disk.
