Just downloaded lha for linux, and the installation instructions tell me to copy the lha file to the "appropirate directory" which doesnt help me very much. Does anyone happen to know what directory I should copy it to offhand?

Stupid answer, but: It depends.
What kind of file is lha?
Is it executable? (/usr/bin mostly)
Is it a library? (/usr/lib maybe)
Is it a textfile? etc...
