Learning KCron but everything is not going well

Using KUbuntu 7.10

Trying to learn KCron.

In the Program box, I am scheduling 2 seperate cron job as under,

No.1
Code:
/bin/ls / > /home/userdir/aaaa.txt
This is working while I right click the mouse and testing with Run Now command. Even working while I schedule it to run it everyday at a specific time.

Now, the second one I have scheduled as:
No.2
Code:
/usr/bin/konsole
it opens a terminal while I right click and test with Run Now command. But it does not opening a konsole while it is scheduled to run at a specific time.

In both of my above examples, I have specified my schedule time same.

What is the mistake I am doing..... for which the second command does not opening a terminal?

First thing to do when working with cron is check the e-mail of the user that owns the crontab. Crond sends an e-mail when errors occur. In your case it probably isn't finding where to output the terminal to because it doesn't see no display environment variable. Exporting it should make it work. Running 'env|grep ^DISP' shows you what you need to export.
