I am trying to build a load balanced cluster on Red Hat 9. I have installed heartbeat and it works fine. I installed ldirectord 1.2.3 on my first node and tried to bring it up. I then tried to connect to the virtual site and it worked. I though all was well. Then I looked at the logs

the webroot has a file named .check with alive as the contents.

I have read through he man pages and I don't see anything I have missed.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.
