LDAP server port ??
Hi,
during LDAP server setup I used some default port number, which I have forgotten now.
Is there any way to get it back ?
I guess there should be some command to check this.
I was in search for administrative port.
I guess there should be a way to get this port or else I will uninstall the xserver and install again.
So you're not talking about openldap, because openldap does not have an administration port. And what is the xserver you're going to uninstall?
If you're talking about Sun/Iplanet Directory server, then the default admin port is 390. If you're talking about Fedora DS, then the default is 9830.
In both cases you can take a look at the config files to find out the correct port number.
What ldap server are you talking about. As I told you openldap does not have an admin port.
The other common ldap servers (from Sun or Fedora) do have. And you can use it with their gui administration tool.
You can run:
Code:
netstat -tanpl
to see the open ports and the daemons listening on each one, so you can find the admin port.
