Launching Inkscape - nothing happens

I've installed Inkscape on my PCLinuxOS machine, but everytime I try to launch it from the menu, nothing happens. I kept a check of this with Task Manager open and notice that when I launch Inkscape, an entry for Inkscape does come up in the task manager, but very shortly disappears.

How can I make Inkscape work?

What happens when you launch it from the terminal?

If you get any errors, please post them.
