Unhappy Laptop boot hangs on pcmcia startup (rh7.2)

Ok, I managed to get the RH7.2 installation process done with (finally!) and grub boots up into Linux OK. However, the boot process hangs up when starting pcmcia services. I can boot interactively (skip the pcmcia startup), and everything but the networking works ok.

I am using a toshiba laptop, with Xircom card.

RH 7.0 worked OK. I never had any problems with the pcmcia services - other problems sure ;-)

Any clues??
