Heh like a car alarm but less useful.
How does it respond to pressing the power-button for 5 secs?
In general, do not trust non-free-software security products.

But see:
... written in Python - exploits accelerometers.

In linux we just lock the laptop when we leave it. Or, if we are prone to leaving the machine suddenly, then we can set it to lock on a timeout.

This prevents access to the computer - you are concerned with someone wanting the computer itself.
Trouble is, we live in a world where miscreants are quite happy to snatch a laptop from your person. What difference can a loud noise have? The machine is gone in less time than it takes to respond.

My thought on this is just to use a padlock.
