Kylix3 - problem when trying to run - installed on mandrake 9.1

[hunter@localhost hunter]$ ./startdelphi err:heap:HEAP_GetPtr Invalid heap 00000000! ./startdelphi: line 25: 1875 Segmentation fault /home/hunter/kylix3/bin/delphi $*

i installed my kylix succesfull without any errors...
but:

when i run borpretest as ROOT i get:

[root@localhost borpretest]# ./borpretest Borland Kylix System Compatibility Test Checking loader....lib-a.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

when i run borpretest as normal user i get:
(i unpacked it as normal user)

[hunter@localhost borpretest]$ ./borpretest bash: ./borpretest: Permission denied

why its not running? what to do??

i have had a lot of weird and annoying problems with kylix, it just plain sux.
If you need delphi tho, you must press on.

with borpretest as normal user "chmod 755" will make it executable.
not so sure about the segmentation fault, i get them all the time, what's ur hard drive looking like?
mine is falling apart, i have to repair at least once a day and it causes loads of seg faults and kernel panics, not to mention complete lock-ups

[hunter@localhost borpretest]$ ./borpretest
Borland Kylix System Compatibility Test

Checking loader....lib-a.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

....s**t!

i know why i have this problem but i cant fix it.. it is because glibc...
there is a patch from borland for glibc 2.5.x but i use glibc 2.3.2
i tryed to apply patch but it wont work...

i have question 4ya... i am now downloading GENTOO in .iso files....

will i have the same problem with kylix3 on gentoo...?

now i use fscked mandrake9.1... fscked because lot of thing dont work..
i have thousands of missing libs.. every time i want to install something
o get error :]

so will kylix3 work on gentoo 1.4 ?? gentoo 1.4 use glibc 2.3.2 (newest), but its
quite oder than mandrake....
