Kylix programs not running!??

I have downloaded and installed Kylix Open Edition...
the thing is that when i compile a program it won't run
any ideas why my compiled programs won't run!??

You have GOT to be joking!

I've been playing with Kylix, writing the usual "Hello World" and following a tutorial to create a text editor. All very encouraging .... but if you can't run the resulting creation outside of Kylix - What use is it?

I looked at the solution at http://www.codebake.com/createkylixapp.php and that's just not on .... There has to be a simpler way. That may as well have been written in Chinese!
