Kylix 3: {} not available

with Kylix 3 I run into some problems when writing or compiling C++ programs.

The installation of Kylix 3 was done as root with the setup -m option. Otherwise
any attempt to execute kylix will fail.
The compat-glibc and patch-debugger patches have been installed.

After the installation LANG, LC_ALL and LC_CTYPE must be set to some values,
I use de_DE here in order to avoid a segmentation fault (startbcb line 25, xyz
Segmentation fault) when compiling a cpp code.

In the Kylix editor I am missing the {} braces and all other keys reachable via the
ALT GR key.

Does anyone can help me here?
