File Dependency Problems... Package installed, but not recognized

Hello. I've downloaded the program KXStitch on Mandrake 9.1.

After double-clicking the rpm and entering the root password it does it's thing for a second and tells me I need 3 things:
libMagick++.so.5
libMagick.so.5
liblcms.so

So, I hop over to rpmfind.net and look them up. First two I kill with one stone. Had to google for the second, found their homepage, downloaded it. All the dependencies installed with no problems.

Well, now when I try installing KXStitch, I'm told that I still need liblcms.so.

So I use Mandrake's handy File Search feature... and lo-and-behold there it is... in /usr/local/lib. Sounds like as good a place as any.

So, obviously, my question is... how come Mandrake isn't seeing my installation of liblcms, and what can I do to fix it?

Thank you in advance,
BinaryNova
