Ksmooth Dock configure error

Hi having some issues configuring ksmoothdock on my mandriva box with kde 3.3.2

i have tried following their instructions and during the ./configure it gets to an area saying:
checking for KDE... configure: error:
in the prefix, you;ve chosen, are no KDE headers installed, This will fail.
So, check this please and use another prefix
now al i did was the ./configure so i looked at the help and couldnt work it out

if anyone is able to help much appreciated.
