ksetisaver

hello people!
i have been trying to install ksetisaver for SO long i had an infinite amount of problems which i emailed sebastian about and only got one reply so far.. but anyways i managed to figure most of it out
the only thing is.. i can only run ksetisaver through a command
eg: ./ksetisaver
and then it pops up a little window that only has like the bottom corner of the full size screensaver
i checked the homepage and followed the instructions in the faq that says to take the ksetisaver.desktop file and put it in the screensaver file and it shows up in the control centre... but it doesn;t WORK!

am i doing something wrong? i mean it shows up in there but it does nothing when i click setup and test and i set it to be my screensaver and then waited and all i got was a blank screen i should mention i'm on kde3 with redhat 7.3 if anyone can help PLEASE!!!
