so yeah, here is my
question. I was logged in as root and got the conexant - linux modem drivers compiled and working so I fired up kppp. I hadn't set it up yet since I had no modem previously, so I selected setup. Now a window came up asking if I wanted to use the wizard or standard set up, out of habit I checked the box that said "do not show me this again" and picked the wizard. To my dismay, I live in the US and should have picked the standard setup. Now, the wizard says if I hit 'cancel' the standard setup should start, but it doesn't. Now I have no way to setup kppp on root (right now I'm on my normal user account, which I set up correctly). Does anyone know how to get the default settings back in kppp so that I can pick standard setup on my root account? I know I shouldn't be on root for normal usage, but I would like to have kppp setup there, just incase. If it matters, my distro is Slackware 9 and I use Gnome 2.2.
*note: I am not opposed to using another dialer, I just didnt know of any besides kppp to use.*
