kpowersave does not resume in ubuntu
 

hi,
i'm having some problems with kpowersave. i used adept to install it, so my understanding is that all dependancies have been taken care of. 'suspending to ram' will suspend my computer, but after that is unrecoverable. (i have to restart). 'suspending to disk' works fine until you turn the computer back on. it will boot all the way to the login screen, but my keyboard and mouse do not work. i browsed through the forum to see if i could find a suitable solution, but no such luck. i even tried running kpowersave as root, which gives me the option of 'standby'. the computer goes into standby, but the display does not, and again, does not resume properly. please help. it'd be really nice to have some power saving features on my computer. i'm using a dell dimension 3100, straight out of the box, running the latest version of ubuntu. (i believe its 6.06).
