Kopete Webcam Issues

So, I read through almost every thread I could find before I decided to make a post here.. So, let me share my issue. I have Kopete installed, as well as Jasper and the lib-jasper whatever .. However, when I get an invitation to view a camera, I hit accept .. Blank.. If I hit "request webcam" .. it comes up grey and says no image ... So, what the hell am I to do with this? I spent about 45 minutes figuring out everything to this point, only to be disappointed here.. Help.

Newest version of Kopete .. but I'm not sure about the camera. I'd have to ask, and I can very well tell you the person won't know.. I'm pretty sure it's a logitech camera, but I can't be sure.

Well if a new logitech it may be using the uvc chipset. You can see loaded modules from the command ' /sbin/lsmod '. Look for items named uvc or something. Now if that is the case kopete may actually need to be recompiled from source and special changes made to the source before compiling. Search www.google.com/linux and use search string like ' kopete uvc '.
