Kopete on Mandriva 2006 - 'Connections' 'Adding accounts' and 'away messages' issue

I was able to add more than one account in my kopete messenger program, both being the yahoo protocol.
I had a problem before, which may have been solved, had to clean out the system, but I tried to get my second account to be added on.
Problem was, it said "invalid" password. The same thing with my email password, "incorrect".
I know my password, but both all the suddenly, at the same time, failed.
After the cleaning, it seems like it all works again, no password error.
Question #1, why was I getting those errors. It'd be nice to know just in case it happens again. Maybe I did something wrong, but it seemed like after I installed "wine", i had issues.

The current issues:

Sometimes, kopete just isn't getting connected, at all. I guess it's just the internet server or whatever, something that can't be fixed.
However, I was able to, at some points, get one account connected fine, and the second just doesn't do anything. I tell it to connect now, but it just doesn't want to do anything.
Any possible solution on that?

Third question, how do you remove those custom away messages?
I saw in a forum about going into a terminal, and going through such directory, first being this "~/.kde/something something.
Is that something Mandriva has? I saw /.kde somewhere, not sure where now though.

Lastly, but not too important. I had noticed that Yahoo doesn't support javascript, or something of those lines, so accessing yahoo chat is out of the question it seems. My question is, how can you get there now? I would have thought it'd be somewhere in the kopete program, but I don't see anything.
If there's no way, it's no biggie, but if I can, well, then it's one more thing I got going on this linux OS.

I'm quite pleased with Linux, more so than Windows. I feel the more I can do with Linux, the less I will even bother being on Windows.
I learned something new on linux not long ago that made me day.
Slowly, but surely. I use to have a nice list of issues, how to get this going, how to install that, what do you mean by "type this" and going into root??!?
It's nice to know a bit more about this, and it's great to understand where to go, and what to type when you say "go to root and do this.."
Thanks again for your help!

.kde is a hidden file. You can see it by starting Konqueror -> View -> Show Hidden Files. You can also access hidden files from the command line by using a dot in from of the name e.g. "$cd .kde".

I think some of your problems could be with the Yahoo messaging servers. Sometimes I have problems with Yahoo using Kopete or GAIM e.g. getting disconnected lots of times. I am not sure why you accounts became problematic, in the future you can always delete the kopete directories in .kde so that you reset everything. As for away messages, I am sure you can create your own custom messages whilst leaving the original ones as they are. If you can't figure it out post back so that I can check the exact procedure for your.

I may have found it, /home/jeremy/.kde/share/config file: kopete.eventsrc I may not have custom messages on it at this point, had to refresh the PC. Is that the file it may contain the messages or am I in the wrong area?
