Kopete/Gaim AIM Logon

I am having an interesting problem with AIM. When i try to login with my screen name, i get a password dialog, enter my password (the correct one) and it prompts again... The screen name and password are still valid as i have tested them on my windows computer, however for some reason both kopete 0.9.2 and gaim 1.1.2 will not login. Kopete was installed from source and gaim from rpm... not sure what the issue is but it seems to only effect the aim protocol, as i can sign on to yahoo just fine. I also dont think its a firewall problem as my firewall config has not changed and my other computers can login fine.

Does any one have any suggestions??

Thank You
-Sid
