Kopete and Slackware 9.1

Kopete & Slackware 9.1

I have tried installing this package using the pkgtool utility in Slackware.

When I run the pkgtool cmd and select (from memory) install the packages in this directory and hit okay, kopete does not install.

I have tried compiling and installing a .tar version of kopete and this did not work either.

Can someone please give me some direction as to how to install this kopete package in Slackware?

i just installed it using swaret!

So my obvious question is: How do I install swaret?

I have tried to cp that swaret.conf.new file to /etc

However, I can't get it working.

I got kopete to compile and install just fine under slack 9.1. Download the latest source for kopete, make sure you have all of the proper libraries for kde installed. Let us know what errors you get in configuring or during compile time, if any. I had not a single problem installing it. Good luck.
