Kontact Crashing issue: QT Programming Error!?

Kontact keeps crashing when ever I pick a different shortcut: "Contacts", "ToDo List", etc. (when the current viewable area is "mail", a transition from mail) with the following error:

Code:
kdecore (KAction): WARNING: KAction::plugAccel(): call to deprecated action.
kdecore (KAction): WARNING: KAction::plugAccel(): call to deprecated action.

I also frequently get this, a clear array (structure) indexing problem:

Code:
kdecore (KAction): WARNING: KAction::plugAccel(): call to deprecated action.
kdecore (KAction): WARNING: KAction::plugAccel(): call to deprecated action.
kdecore (KAction): WARNING: KAction::plugAccel(): call to deprecated action.
kdecore (KAction): WARNING: KAction::plugAccel(): call to deprecated action.
kdecore (KAction): WARNING: KAction::plugAccel(): call to deprecated action.
kdecore (KAction): WARNING: KAction::plugAccel(): call to deprecated action.
QLayout "unnamed" added to QWidget "unnamed", which already has a layout
QDate::fromString: Parameter out of range
QComboBox::setCurrentItem: (unnamed) Index 3 out of range
*** KMail got signal 11 (Crashing)
KCrash: Application 'kontact' crashing...
With obvious errors like this, I am wondering how this bug was not addressed. This was after an upgrade to Mandrake/Mandriva 10.2. This issue was also present in the latest update of 10.1.

I noticed if I start the program with the standard menu link in KDE, it will not even start, I have to manually start the program from a console, or erase the kmailrc config file (or most of it anyhow). Then if crashed from the console, I need to alternate between using the menu link and the console invocation in order for this to work. I am going to pull my hair out here. I don't see what the issue is, and I sure as heck cannot bug check KDE's config file parser.

Does anyone else have this issue. KDE version 3.3.2. Can someone help please?

Please, I know someone else has to have this issue.

It appears to be an issue with Kmail, I think. if I invoke kmail on its own then invoke kontact, I am able to use all the features of the program. But, otherwise it will continue to crash if kmail is put out of focus in the kontact application.

If anyone else is having this problem. My work around was this. I changed all links to kontact to

'kmail; kontact'

This forces kmail to be invoked first thus avoiding the problem. But still, the kontact wrapper is supposed to work here.

OS Version: Mandriva LE 2005 or AKA: Mandrake 10.2

By the way. As an update, I upgraded to KDE 3.42 (includes updates for kdepim, kontact etc), and now kontact does not crash! Coincidence, I think not

By the way, I hope mandrake/Mandriva realizes this parsing/segmentation fault issue with their default distro of 10.2. I just hope, for their sake it isn't something obscure like a bug in the QT windowing libraries. Sheesh, what a pain it would be to sift through that.
