Konqueror - Setting Default Window Size for Browsing

I'm using SuSE 9.1 Professional. When I use Konqueror for web browsing (by clicking on the icon in the taskbar) Konqueror is opened in the Web Browsing mode. Unfortunately, it always opens in a small window (maybe 640*480 resolution), regardless of how the Konqueror window was sized during its last use.

Is there a way to enable Konqueror to remember its previous window size from its last use? I'm using a high res display, and I normally size browsing windows to be the full screen height, and a partial screen width. If there is a way to enable window size memory in Konqueror, I'd love to hear about it.

Looking at the properties of the Konqueror icon on the taskbar, it appears that Konqueror is being invoked with the following parameters:

kfmclient openProfile webbrowsing

are there editable profiles for Konqueror?

TIA!

Bob

When you maximize your Konqueror window, open Settings menu, and there you'll find Save View Profile 'Web Browsing". In newly opened window choose Web Browsing, and "Save Window Size in Profile" check box.

Thanks for the tip!

At first it didn't work quite right -- the updated profile saved the URL of the page (every time I opened Konqueror it opened to this thread's URL), but didn't save the window size. It turns out that in the Settings | Configuror View Profiles | Webbrowsing menu, there are checkboxes for saving window size and/or URL.

Thanks! this tip solved two problems for me!
