Konqueror problems

Konqueror i think has gone a little spastic and am not to sure how to fix it.
Mozilla and Firefox work on these sites but on certain sites I get errors loading .. particularly

"Found a cyclic link to (insert web page address)first time_yes

anyone got any ideas it didt use to do this on these particular sites.

one other thing that I am not too sure if it relates to this or not is my newsticker
(Knewsticker) has started to do a few wierd things.
I regularly get errors like this

"The file /var/tmp/kdecache-shane/krun/1760.0.story.php cannot be found please check the location and try again"

Now why would it be trying to load fromt he hard drive folder as mentioned above..
these are new unvisted news items .. it does it on most news in the ticker a few dont seem to

any help would be appreciated

I thought of uninstalling Konqueror but Kpackage says it will uninstall KDE so was not to keen on that..

System is Debian.. Kernal 2.4.25 and KDE 3.22

cheers

append "%u" to all your browser's commands in kmenu's menu editor (ie. /usr/local/mozilla/mozilla %u). that will tell kde to pass the url as a url and not to go searching through the local cache. this should work because everything dealing with filetypes in kde go through the kmenu shortcuts by default.

I added the %u at the end of the reference to Konqueror and mozilla and firefox and didnt make a bit of difference still has the same problems (both of them)

thanks for your time anyway

Try adding a new user, then test with the new user. If the problem is still happening, you know it is aty the system level. If not, then it is something hosed up in the user's own .kde profile.
