I have been running SuSE 7.3 no problem. Running a dual boot system with winXP (in NTFS), I have a windows partion as win32 for access from linux.
Up to now konqueror in file manager mode has had no problems accessing the partition. Suddenly it can access but freezes, freezing does not occur unless I access this partion. Also event happens whether I am running other apps or not .
If I use konqueror web browser to access the drive it does not freeze.
Has any bright spark got an idea what might be happening and how it might be cured.
Thank in advance Richard
I also have konqueror freezing but differnt situation. is ok untill i try to surf the web, the curser gets slugish and slows down after only 2 web sites. Is it posisble that there is a limit to how much can be contained in the bookmarks file? I probably have serveral thousand in mine. when I set up man9 I set it up with 4 users even though it is just me using it. this is the only reason I am able to be here and ask this queston, the other acounts are not effected. the quick cure for me was to use root to move eveloutions contact list to new user account. am wondering if I should not move bookmarks. John
mine is kde 3.0.3. Before mine started acting up I started and stopped some down loads, about 7 mb of a ziped file with jpg pictures of a radio manual. That was about the only thing I did different.
