"Konqueror"

Hey! Can someone help me please !!??
I`m using slackware 10.2
I have a problem/error when I trying to open "Konqueror" - ""Could not finde mime tipe application/octet-stream"" What thats means and how can I fix that ?? Thx everyone, please help me..

How are you attempting to open it? ie what are you clicking on?
Whatever it is, its probably not pointing to the correct thing.
On my machine, it is: /opt/kde3/bin/kfmclient

It`s shows when i start the x wind / startx and then when I cross mouse on text files..

again, How are you attempting to open it? ie what are you clicking on?

That error was when i start startx, when i try to open Control Center, and other applications. But in Control Center/File Association/ I added the new application - octet-stream and now everything working just fine =) So it`s all fine now.. Thank u allelopath for tray to help me

and others who just read my problem and did nothing to help me..
