Konqueror 3.5.7 problem - does not detect mozilla's flash plugin

I have a problem with Konqueror 3.5.7

I want to install flash player for it, so i found out that the only way to do that is to install the flash player in the mozilla firefox plugin directory, and then go in Konqueror -> Settings -> Configure Konqueror -> Plugins and add the directory (/usr/lib/mozilla or whatever), and click on Scan Plugins so Konqueror should detect the plugin. The problem is that Konqueror does not detect them. I tried installing the flash plugin in several different directories and add them manualy in Konqueror's "Scan Folders", but it does not work. I don't know why, but on some way, Konqueror is not detecting the plugin, while it is working perfectly with firefox.

Anybody help ?

Thanks.

Hi.

What Linux distribution are you using? Have you tried adding /usr/lib/firefox/plugins to your list?

Not sure what distro you are using but in debian you need konqueror-nsplugins for konq to use flash or konqueror-plugin-gnash if you use gnash.

I am using Slackware.

@redazz:

I tried that, but with no success.

Anyway i have good news - I did it! So here is the solution for this kind of problem (this also works on opera):

1. You install flash player for mozilla.
2. Download konqueror-nsplugins (it's .deb)
3. Install it (For those who have OS other than Debian based, use the tool deb2targz:

http://downloads.linuxfromscratch.org/deb2targz.tar.bz2

4. Now flash should work in Opera and Konqueror.
