Konquer KDE question

Hi, how do I make it so when I browse folders, etc, it browses using something other than knoquer? How can I do the same with web pages?

Thanks...

Just use a different file manager/browser. For opening up new webpages from <X> app, look into file assocations in your KDE control Center. Other file managers would include things such as gentoo, Midnight Commander, XFtree Rox Filer, and so on. Install them, and then create a desktop icon to use that as opposed to clicking on the konqueror symlink

Same with the browser. Install something else, or create a symlink to an already installed browser.

Cool

You just install them. It wouldn't be in the Control Center. You would install whatever program you desire (I prefer Gentoo) and then create a symlink icon for that program on your desktop. Then to browse files, click the symlink. If you want it to have that cute little "house" icon for your home directory you can edit the icon file.

Cool

Galeon is probably the best (it's fast) for webpages, and konqueror is probably the worst. Put galeon on your panel at the bottom of your desktop. Right click the panel and select 'add to panel'. Search for Galeon or Mozilla and than remove the konqueror icon by right clicking it and selecting 'remove from panel'.

Mozilla is great, but I'm going to hump Phoenix again and recommend it if you want a fast browser Personally I use Konqueror for file browsing and phoenix/mozilla for web browsing..
