i get this error whenever i try to burn a cd in Red Hat 8.0 using KOnCD:

can anybody help?

Did you log in as root or su to root and set up KonCD first ?

I get this same problem and I have been trying to fix it even going as far as installing 3 new recorders and all will the same problem.
