To add a bit of detail to the previous answers, Knoppix should detect the partitions (they are numbered, in /mnt. They don't name the operating system) and show them to you in /etc/fstab and /mnt. BUT, Knoppix won't mount them automagically!
You will have to maually mount the partitions.
If you are using the Linux kernel 2.6.X in Knoppix. (where X is a part of the release number) then write operations to xp are supposedly supported.
Beyond that, I'd suggest that before you try anything, use
www.google.com/linux and search for info on HOW TO do whatever it is that you want to do.
