I just install Slackware to give it a try. I face this problem, after get the sound working i login as USER, i needed to adjust the volume as it is too loud but i try to open kmix to help me to do that but there is no tuner nothing for me to adjust!!!?? Its just a blank pop up window. But if i log in as root I am able to see all the tuners and was able to adjust it. Any ideas why??
I have the same problem with kmail with debian, kd3 3.1.2 and kmail 3.1.2. I also cant save my addressbook, if i try to save it it says "Unable to Save - KAddressBook" "There was an error while attempting to save the address book. Please check that some other application is not using it."
I wanted to ask if you found out how to correct the error and if yes if you could post the answer here.
