[SOLVED] Kmail5 not fetching mail from "outlook.office.com" via IMAP, though connection stands

This is on openSUSE Leap 42.1

Parameters for IMAP are:
Server: outlook.office.com
Port: 143 (standard)
username: (controlled multiple times, correct)
security: password, normal

Those work on thunderbird.

Kmail5 with the same parameters says it is connected to the server, but fetching mails 0% done. And there it stays. Any ideas here?

P.S.: Thunderbird on Leap 42.1 crashes (on my netbook with tumbleweed thunderbird works).

Yeah, that's it. Now the question is, when will SUSE do a rollout of the new/patched version...

I found a version in the SUSE factory repositories, which seems even newer than the one from the thread you posted. I added that repository in YAST and tried to update but the dependencies are not automatically resolved. The first two or three I found in the same repository but some "libIfmlfm..." is also needed. Even Google doesn't know about that. Would you know where to find a complete package?
