Kmail - signature above quote?

I'm frustrated with kmail because it really seems to stay away from the way a proper email should look:
----------------
Hello,

This is a test email

Joe Bob,
777-777-7777
small business corp

quote goes here
------------

I figured out how to automatically get my reply to be above the quote, but I can't figure out a way to make my signature appear above the quote. Is there any way to accomplish this?

Thanks!

I never saw top-posting before Outlook became popular, bottom-posting was the preferred method. Now a days I guess you use what ever method is acceptable for the group/community you communicate with. Top versus bottom posting is whole discussion on to itself. :)

Does this not work for you?

I noticed in KDE 4.2.4 that the signature is placed above the cursor insertion point when "Automatically insert signature" is checked, so the reply would be below the signature which of course is not the desired effect. Unchecking the "Automatically insert signature", then using either "Prepend Signature" or "Insert Signature At Cursor Position" in the reply message lets you insert the signature below your reply text.

There's a KDE feature change request for the reply template to have the signature placed where you want it:

Implement %SIGNATURE template command to allow customised signature insertion location.

Oh, and there is a reason why signatures with separators should be bottom-posted:

There is a problem with signature separators being used when top posting a reply with the signature above the quoted material; this causes the whole quoted portion to be treated as part of the signature by programs that recognize signatures. This issue is discussed more in the quoting section. Basically, if you don't put your signature as the very last thing in your messages, you shouldn't use a standard signature separator.
