Kmail problem
There is a problem using kmail to send email through my gmail account. I am almost certain that I use all the correct parameters, however, I receive send error all the time:
Sending failed:
smtp.gmail.com
The message will stay in the 'outbox' folder until you either fix the problem (e.g. a broken address) or remove the message from the 'outbox' folder.
The following transport was used:
GMail
I tried using Thunderbird2, it worked like a charm! I want to use kmail because it has all the tools in one location (calendar, email, notes, etc...) What could be wrong?
My params are:
host: smtp.gmail.com
Port: I tried 465 at first, but tbird uses 587 by default and it works
Encryption: I tried SSL at first, but tbird uses TLS by default and it works
Authentication: I use my email ID (I tried with and w/o the @gmail.com portion)
Authentication method: plain (i also tried login)
Anybody???
