Kmail can't receive on O.E.Mac

I installed Mandrake 9.0 with Kmail, most of my sent e-mails are received O.K. by recipients but can not be received by O.E. on Win2000, Hotmail subscribers and a friend with a Mac.
I can receive all mail messages without a problem.

Can someone please tell me what is wrong with my configuration.
Simple answers please as I am a learner...Thanks.

Steve.

You'll have to be more precise. The mails never arrive? They appear garbled?

Hello mhearn,
Thanks for you reply.
The answer is that the mails never arrive.

I don't know, but I doubt this is caused by KMail. Try with another email client, make sure that at least some of your emails get through, check with your ISP to see if they do anything odd....

Thanks mhearn,
I will try Mozilla as that is included in the O.S.
A good point about the ISP, Will call them.
It will take some time to set up and test but I will post back here.

Hello mhearn,

Good news, I changed to Mozilla, sent and received messages well with P.C's and Macs. Thanks for your help.
Whilst to me Mozilla is not as easy to find all the functions as K-mail, it works.
An interesting aside to the installation was on a Mozilla help site where there was an article on how to reduce spam (with which I am inundated) which recommended in order for the spammer not to realize that his message was received/read, is not to bounce or delete the spam on line, as there is a signal returned so that they know your addresss is a live target, after legitimate mail has been read log off, then delete the spam. I had always wondered how to delete spam without opening the message.
Now I have printer problems but that is for another post.

In evolution you can press ` to stop it loading the message, in mozilla hide the message pane by clicking on the middle of the drag bar. KMail - no idea.
