Kmail and Thunderbird
Just wondering if it is possible to transfer emails and contacts from Thunderbird to Kmail.

I don't think so....tried once, both ways (to and from Thunderbird/Kmail), didn't find anything useful.

Yes and No. Both mail and your address book can be imported into Kmail. The other way round only your address book can be exported not email folders (due to the way that kmail stores emails).

Thanks dth1, but how do I do it?
The Tools->Import Messages function in KMail doesnt mention thunderbird or mozilla, and I cant find any export functions in thunderbird.
Do I have to use an external tool or is there something I've missed?

Hello i was hoping some one could help me with kmail i type in my password no problem kmail comes up no problem i can even read my email no problem but when i click to compose an email i get this error message
KMail encountered a fatal error and will terminate now.
The error was:
cannot open ~/dead.letter.tmp for saving the current message: Illegal seek
and then my Email shuts down any ideas appreciated
