KlamAV ./configure Error

I'm trying to install KlamAV on MEPIS Linux, KDE 3.3 and everytime I try to compile the source I get an error:

checking for KDE... configure: error:
in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This will fail.
So, check this please and use another prefix!

How do I fix this? I also as a side note tried to convert ALL the rpm packages on PBONE using alien but all of those didnt install right, is klamav not compatible with debian?
