kismet compile errors

When I run make in the Kismet source dirrectory I get the following errors

iwcontrol.cc: In function `int Iwconfig_Set_Channel(const char*, int, char*)':
iwcontrol.cc:522: error: 'struct iw_freq' has no member named 'flags'
iwcontrol.cc:522: error: `IW_FREQ_FIXED' was not declared in this scope
iwcontrol.cc:522: warning: unused variable 'IW_FREQ_FIXED'
make: *** [iwcontrol.o] Error 1

Any ideas?

Im running Slackware 11 with a 2.6 kernel. My wireless chipset is the IPW2200.

Yeah, I've been working on installing kismet for about a week now, and this one really has me stumped. I can't find a solution yet.

I'm writing hoping by now someone has an answer?

Thanks,
Noob

It didn't take me long to fix this. I think maybe I didn't have /usr/src/linux pointing to anything. Try irc.freenode.net and go to #kismet. Someone there will be able to help you.

Thanks for that dasoberdick but I kind of took the easy route and downloaded Kismet from linuxpackages.net

All the best, BashTin.
