Kino, can't export to MPEG. Help?
When I have a video open in kino that I captured in, I have the following problem. When I chose the export tab, and go over to MPEG. I type a name for the file and click export. It goes through the process of locking audio and when it gets to 100% it gives me this error:
error writing to KINO / MJPEG audio filter - aborting. This occurs regardless of whether I choose, mpeg1 or mpeg2 format. Does anyone know where I go from here or experienced this problem themselves? Thank you, Russ |
You probably need to install mjpegtools. If you install from a package, then make sure it includes mpeg2enc and mp2enc. A lot of commercial distros' packages do not include them. The new version of Kino (0.9.5) will disable that part of the UI and give you a message in the status bar when this is the case.
