Angry kino 0.7.5 won't export back to camcorder

This problem requires some explaining, so here goes...Kino edits great, I'm using Suse 9.2 and I even have dvtitler and timfx plug-ins working. I have no problem importing video from my camcorder (a JVC DVF 21) via firewire and I have no problem exporting to DV files or DV Pipe. Kino just won't export via firewire back to my camcorder. I used the suggestions in Linux Journal (Dec. 2004 issue) for doing this, setting the drivers for NTSC and doing a modprobe of dv1394. Also changed ieee 1394 preferences from raw 1394 to dv 1394 like it said. Now here's the weird part, I used this exact same set- up just 4 months ago on this same computer using Suse 9.1 and it exported to the camcorder perfectly. Why is it not now, using Suse 9.2? Any ideas? Please let me know.
