Kickstart

HI

I would like to know if i can use kickstart for software installation. I want to create a dvd that has some softwares in it, and i want to use kickstart to automatically install the applications.

Note* The systems already have CentOS installed on them.

Thanks

Kickstart is for installing the operating system, not just packages.

If the software isn't rpm based then write a script to install each item separately. This will not be automatic, as nothing is run automatically from a dvd without a prompt being issued.

Otherwise use yum and create a dvd based repo with a script to be run from the disc.
