Kicker help

I'm using SuperKaramba with KDE 3.1 on Red Hat 8.0. Can someone please tell me how to shut the kicker off. I don't want it to hide I want it to go away! Die Die Go Away!!!

Kroller is much prettier.

Any help would be appreciated. After searching google I think I'm the only one who dislikes the kicker :(

If your refering to the kicker being the taskbar at the bottom which comes as a feature that is included and built around by KDE.

The only thing I've been able to do is run a kill application every time it starts. But what you may want to try is Xwindows such as blackbox, windows manager, fluxbox, believe it or not allows for specifeid features from other gui's.

Killing the kicker by running kill <pid> was the only way I could do it, but killing kicker takes a bunch of little things with it. Autohide is kinda of a cheesy fix but it still pops up when the mouse is over it.

I've used fluxbox for a while now but I wanted to go back to KDE. I like the cartoon look.

Right now I've settled to autohiding it on top center, removing all the application icons, and using it as a taskbar only.

Thanks for the reply

That program after reading your post the second time around was , truly eye candy. This SuperKaramba looks to be fun but, with so many gui I would have figured you would have found either Gnome or Kde to be suitable. Well good luck on finding the right GUI for you.

Later......:)

Superkaramba is great!! Anyone with a little effort can make the desktop look however they want.... and I mean however. It's cool because you're only limited by what you can draw in Gimp

:)

I think I'll stick with KDE
