Keyboard/mouse issue with X

For some reason after world update when I start X I cannot use my mouse or keyboard.
In terminal all works great, but when I startx the issue occurs.

I've tried xorgconfig, but it didn't help.

Will try to update system tonight once again and re-run config, but for now I wonder if anybody has any ideas?

P.S. Gentoo, kernel 2.6.27-r2

Perhaps someone would have ideas, if you posted some meaningful information, like what the actual error(s) are. Saying "I cannot use my mouse or keyboard", and "it didn't help", don't give us alot to go on.

Are there input device entries in your X config file? Just a thought, but are you sure it isn't a system lockup?
