Kernel Upgrade


Hi,

I am Using Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS , recently i have upgraded my kernel from kernel 2.6.24-16-generic to kernel 2.6.24-24-generic .

now my grub showing both of these version, so shall i delete my old one(kernel 2.6.24-16-generic) from my grub menu.lst,if i delete this is there any problem in my OS...please advice me.....

Once you're sure that the new version works on your computer, it is safe to remove the old version of the kernel using Synaptic Package Manager (System>Administration>Synaptic). This will actually delete the old kernel, in addition to removing it from Grub's list.
