Kernel Source in Ubuntu 5.10?

erm...Linux newbie here..

I'm having trouble locating the kernel source in Ubuntu 5.10 x86 (using kernel 2.6.12 -9 -i686 downloaded via Synaptic)

I found a bunch of folders in /lib/modules with object code files (thought it was semi-relevant), but i can't find the kernel source code I need to install certain softwares.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

bis dann, meine Freunden.

Make sure that you installed the kernel-source - if you did, it will be in /usr/src
There should be a symbolic link called "linux" pointing to a directory with the actual kernel-source ( linux-2.6.12_something_)

Viel Erfolg, mein Freund!
