Kernel source error installing OSS

I'm trying to install OSS for my soundcard and i'm getting that error:

=== Running /usr/lib/oss/bin/soundon ===
Install directory: /usr/lib/oss
Will use /usr/bin/ld for linking.
No /lib/modules/2.6.3-7mdk-i686-up-4GB/build/.config
Cannot use the kbuild method
/lib/modules/2.6.3-7mdk-i686-up-4GB/build/include/linux/version.h does not exist
/usr/src/linux-2.6.3-7mdk-i686-up-4GB/include/linux/version.h does not exist

**** Failed to compile the sndshield module ****

Cannot find the kernel include directory.
Set the KERNELINCLUDE variable and try again if you have the kernel
sources in a nonstandard place.
No sndshield module available.
Building the OSS/Linux module failed.

I'm using Mandrake 10 with kernel "linux-2.6.3-7mdk-i686-up-4GB" cause i've got 1Go ram
I've listed /usr/src :

[jeremy06@localhost src]$ ls
linux@ linux-2.6.3-15mdk/ linux-2.6.3-7mdk/ RPM/
[jeremy06@localhost src]$ cd linux-2.6.3-7mdk
[jeremy06@localhost linux-2.6.3-7mdk]$ ls
[jeremy06@localhost linux-2.6.3-7mdk]$ cd scripts
[jeremy06@localhost scripts]$ ls
kconfig/ lxdialog/
[jeremy06@localhost scripts]$

and /lib/modules :

[root@localhost modules]# ls
2.4.25-2mdk-i686-up-4GB/ 2.6.3-7mdk/ 2.6.3-7mdk-i686-up-4GB/
[root@localhost modules]# cd 2.6.3-7mdk-i686-up-4GB
[root@localhost 2.6.3-7mdk-i686-up-4GB]# ls
kernel/ modules.dep modules.inputmap modules.symbols
modules.alias modules.description modules.isapnpmap modules.usbmap
modules.ccwmap modules.ieee1394map modules.pcimap
[root@localhost 2.6.3-7mdk-i686-up-4GB]#

I can't find any "version.h" file

The sources for my kernel are installed

even in this source installation file there's no "/include/linux/version.h" or "/build/linux/version.h"

Any help greatly appreciated

In Debian that file comes from the package named linux-kernel-headers perhaps it is similar for Mandrake.
